Flowers do more than bloom.
What we create
Nature never repeats itself, and neither do we. Each LDBS piece is composed around the color, texture, and personality already present in its materials.

Botanical preservation cannot be rushed. Every stage protects the details that made the original flower worth noticing.
A remarkable bloom, a meaningful bouquet, or an idea catches the curator’s eye.
The botanical material is dried and sealed with patience so its character can endure.
Stephen composes each piece by hand, allowing the natural form to guide the design.

Custom preservation
A wedding bouquet, a memorial bloom, a celebration, or a flower from an ordinary day can hold extraordinary meaning. Custom LDBS commissions begin with a conversation about the material, the memory, and the form it should take.

Meet the maker
Stephen is the curator and maker behind Luminous Designs By Stephen in Panna Maria, Texas. His work begins by noticing what others might pass by: a painted bloom beside a sidewalk, a bouquet carrying a family memory, or an early studio experiment with a personality all its own.
The result is a studio practice that brings together handcraft, botanical preservation, storytelling, and thoughtful archival documentation.
