Texas Dayflower opens at daybreak and can fade by midday. Preserving the blue orchid form requires immediate attention, and the studio recorded an approximate one-percent preservation success rate.

The surviving whole blooms reveal their electric blue petals and tiny yellow centers in a pair of sterling-silver dangles made to honor what nature intended to be temporary.
